An endorsement of Otiono by Prof Chinua Achebe

I have known Nduka since 1999 when as an Editor with one of Nigeria’s leading newspapers, he covered my visit to Nigeria after nine years of exile during which the country suffered from military dictatorship. On that encounter with him, I was particularly struck by the exceptional passion and professionalism with which he executed his assignment which included interviewing me. Since then, I have followed his career, and I am happy that he joined us at Brown [University] for a one-year postdoctoral fellowship under my supervision, and had hoped that we would keep him as a Visiting Assistant Professor. So impressed have I been with Nduka’s work that I have recommended him for privileged opportunities whenever possible.
